Was it better than the Alayah movie at least?
Me? ...it could've been better. It should've been better. The last hour was better than the middle 45 minutes. But that last hour at least made it enjoyable.

I thought I saw a review of it saying they hated it, but now I can not find it.

It actually managed to be worse than I had feared, and Grumpy Cat is one of my heroes. The actress they picked to voice the cat just didn't work for me, not nearly grumpy enough. Maybe she just had terrible lines to work with, but I think it was definitely the wrong voice for the cat. Maybe I'm still just old and bitter and cranky about the holidays and everything involved with them, but that thing was like some sort of Paul Blart: Mall Cop meets A Christmas Story abomination. Gah. That was several hours of my life I could have spent looking at pictures of Grumpy Cat actually being grumpy, or fixing something, or drinking bird pee. Any of those would have been better.

Casting was probably one of the few things they got right.
